A figure is accurate as at its check date and no later. Providers change prices without notice. Before relying on a charge, read the provider's own page.

Billing periods, and checking them yourself

Every program in this guide is tracked by its billing period, not by a notional monthly price. Some providers bill every 28 days, some bill on the calendar month, some bill per 90-day supply, and the record holds the amount charged on the cycle the provider actually bills. Two figures that look comparable therefore may not be: a charge of $89 every 28 days recurs 13.04 times in a year and is $96.75 a month, while a $96.75 calendar-month charge recurs 12 times and is $96.75 a month. The record states the basis behind each figure, and it is the only basis on which the programs are compared.

All programs in this guide are tracked on that basis. Some bill every 28 days, some bill on the calendar month, and some bill per multi-month supply, so a lower-looking number on one cycle can cost more over a year than a higher-looking number on another. The record states the cycle next to every charge for exactly this reason.

Prices, billing periods, fees, formulary and state coverage change without notice, and a provider may bill a new customer on different terms from the ones read here. Check the provider's own pricing page and the terms shown at checkout before you pay. A record here is a dated snapshot of published payment terms on its check date, not a quote, and not a substitute for reading the provider's page yourself.
