Criteria

Eight statements we test, and what a match does not mean

Each line records what the sources established on the check date: that a program met the stated criterion, that it did not, or that the sources do not say. A match is not a ranking and not a mark of quality.

  • Labs included

    01

    A laboratory panel is described as part of the recurring charge, with no separate amount left unpriced.

  • Follow-ups included

    02

    Routine follow-up reviews or the consultation are inside the charge the buyer already pays, rather than billed as a separate consult.

  • No separate membership

    03

    No membership is billed on top of the medication charge, or a stated membership is already inside it.

  • Flat across dose

    04

    The record states that the charge does not change with the prescribed dose.

  • Month to month

    05

    The record states no minimum term. A buyer can stop before the next charge without a remaining balance.

  • Compounded available

    06

    At least one compounded preparation is listed. It is recorded as not FDA-approved, and it is not interchangeable with a branded product.

  • FDA-approved only

    07

    Every product listed is stated by the source to be a branded, FDA-approved finished product, with no compounded preparation offered. A record that does not state the preparation of a product has not established approval, so it reads not verified rather than met.

  • Ships to all 50 states

    08

    The coverage information lists every state, with no exclusion at the check date.

Which programs met which criterion

Ordered alphabetically. Three states are recorded, because a criterion the sources never addressed is not the same finding as one they contradict.

What a criterion is not

  • Because they are different claims. A blank means no published page establishes the figure at the check date. A zero means a provider states there is no charge. Recording an unknown membership as $0 would silently make a program look cheaper and would also raise its price-completeness score.
